The free trial and buying mdvju
Free to try for 14 days. Then a one-time purchase. No subscription. The App Store shows the price in your own currency.
The trial
The trial is the whole app: your folder, links, recents, favourites, change tracking, everything. It lasts 14 days.
The first time you open mdvju, before the trial starts, it shows you how long the trial lasts, what stops working afterwards, and the price. Tap Start Free Trial to begin; the same screen has Buy and Restore Purchases. During the trial, Settings › Purchase shows how many days are left (for example “9 Days Left”), and in the last three days the file browser shows a quiet reminder.
The trial doesn’t renew into anything and never charges you. When it ends, nothing is bought unless you buy it.
After the trial
If you don’t buy mdvju, it no longer opens your folder. Opening single Markdown files from the Files app keeps working for free, one file at a time (see Opening a single Markdown file). In those files, web, email, phone and text-message links still open. Links to other notes don’t take you anywhere: tapping one shows “Unlock mdvju to follow links to other notes”, with an Unlock button that takes you to buying mdvju.
Your notes are never touched: they stay in your folder whatever you decide.
Buying
Buy mdvju in the app, at any time during or after the trial. It’s one payment, through the App Store, and it unlocks everything for good.
Why one payment? An app is like a book: the work’s been done, and reading it doesn’t use it up. A subscription only makes sense when someone runs a service for you.
Restoring your purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? You don’t pay again. Restore your purchase in the app, signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
Family Sharing
mdvju supports Family Sharing. Once you’ve bought it, the people in your Family Sharing group can use it too, at no extra cost. If it doesn’t show as unlocked for them, they can restore the purchase in the app the same way.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
